UTM builder
Assemble a tagged campaign link one parameter at a time and watch the finished URL build itself. Values are encoded properly, and empty rows are left out.
Any query string already on the URL is kept; a UTM key with the same name replaces it.
| KEY | VALUE | |

Building the link happens here in the page. The optional resolve check is the one exception: it sends the finished URL to our server, which requests it for you and reports the status it got back.
UTM tagging, in practice
4 entriesUTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters are query-string values marketers append to a link so an analytics tool can attribute the visit to a source, medium and campaign.
Because hand-written tracking links break quietly. A missing question mark, a stray space, or a value that needed encoding is enough to lose the attribution, and you usually find out weeks later.
None at the protocol level. Google Analytics generally needs utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign to categorise traffic correctly, so those three are here by default.
No. Analytics platforms read them by name, not by position. Keeping a consistent order only helps the humans reading the link.
